conradBlackie Conrad starred in baseball, basketball, football and track at Wooster High School. He was that school’s first athlete to play in the Big Ten. While at Ohio State he won three letters and was an All-Conference tackle while winning honorable mention in basketball. He received the Paul W. Litchfield Award in 1937 as Goodyear’s outstanding athlete where he played in the tough Industrial Basketball League.
