Pat Burnett ’76

 

burnettPat Burnett, known primarily as a baseball slugger, was also a promoter, manager and sponsor of Wayne County Sports. In the 1920’s and 30’s Pat was this area’s counterpart to Babe Ruth. A left-handed power hitter, he consistently averaged upwards of .400. He finished his career in Loudonville where he is still remembered for splashing long home runs into the river that ran behind right field.
