Ivan Ramsier ’76

ivan-ramsierIke Ramsier was one of the truly great scholastic basketball players in the late 1930’s. He sparked Rittman to Columbus tournament play, the area’s first local team to participate. He was also the first Wayne County player to be named the All-Ohio team. Ramsier averaged 13.9 points per game while totaling 881, an impressive feat in those low-scoring days. Ike has headed the summer recreation program, helped build a Little League and started a slow pitch league in Rittman.
