Helen Kinney Priest ’76

Helen Priest was a basketball and softball standout in the late 1920’s and early 30’s. She played on the hardwood at Paint Township and then with the Wilmot Merchants who were regarded among the state’s top teams. She also played fastpitch softball for several area teams. While with Wooster Merchants she recorded a 22-3 record to go with a .410 batting average. Helen was a pioneer performer in women’s athletics and a stellar one.
